FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What will the experience be like?

The service experiences at Nashville United Methodist Church include hymns/worship music and a message from our lead pastor, Mark Addington.

We have two very different worship services each Sunday morning.

If you are looking for a more casual, come as you are worship service  you’ll want to come to The Well in the Family Life Center at 8:45AM. You will be greeted with a cup of coffee, and jeans and even shorts are totally okay! The music is led by a worship team that includes keyboard, guitar, drums and vocalists. The music is modern and the words to the songs and scripture are shown on screens up front. A service of communion is offered every 1st Sunday.

Does a traditional service suit you better? Come at 11:00am! The music is led by a talented choir with a music director. We sing classic hymns from a hymnal you will find in the pew. A service of communion is offered every 1st Sunday.

The message at both services is always Gospel-centered and focused on addressing the real issues that real people face in their daily lives. You can expect to be both encouraged and challenged by Pastor Mark each and every week.

Each Sunday service lasts for approximately 60 minutes. Whichever service you choose, you will find a friendly environment where everyone is welcomed!

How early should I get there?

Plan on arriving at least 10 minutes before the service starts.

This will give you time to park, check your kids into their classrooms and grab a cup of coffee before the service begins.

What should I wear?

Depending on the service type you choose, folks will be dressed differently on Sunday mornings.

At the 8:45am service (The Well), we dress very casually– you’re very likely to see most people wearing blue jeans. In fact, when the weather warms up, don’t be surprised to see lots of people in shorts.

The 11am service (Traditional) is a little more formal in nature, but be prepared to see people wearing anything from suits and sport coats to jeans and tshirts. Either way, you’ll feel right at home and be welcomed with a smile.

What about my kids?

KidsChurch is designed for children from 3K through fifth grade. Your child will experience age-appropriate teaching, music and fun activities designed to introduce them to a life-changing journey to follow Jesus Christ. It is led by both staff and volunteers who will be there each week to care for and love on your child. By the way, we utilize a check-in system that ensures a safe environment for your children and also allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents.

A nursery is provided for children ages birth through 3 years.
